Wet food processing factories pose some serious flooring safety issues. Mostly, these are related to inadequate drainage, too smooth a floor coating or even an unsafe ramp angle. The above ramp was a hazard at a snack processing factory in Sydney, as the ramp was at too low an angle to allow water to flow off it. There was also no drainage at the bottom of the ramp, allowing water to puddle, and the coating was very smooth. We built this ramp up, re-coated in non-slip and put in a drain to create a safer workplace for all.
